In the "far north" of the Netherlands, the idea to start a clothing brand arose in 2017. Just, like that, as we often have spontaneous ideas.
Due to the passion for strength training, and thus the internal drive to take that extra step, this idea quickly became a reality. The kitchen table was transformed into a packing table and the storage room functioned as storage, but Thor Athletics was born. And from that moment on, it was falling, getting up, learning, asking for help and especially offering help. Thor turned out to go beyond just selling some products. Thor offers you the right tools to find your own strength.
The knack of going the extra step
Initially only with gym clothing. But after attending a powerlifting meet, where the first Thor athletes were seen, the desire grew to support them in multiple ways. Thus followed the straps, belt, and sleeves. Quality is paramount here. But it doesn't stop there. With the Thor community, we offer the necessary support beyond the four walls of the gym.
Thor stands for strength, confidence, going that extra step, and making connections. Of course, while maintaining a good dose of Dutch pragmatism. This is what we test ourselves against every day and what we want to pass on to our community. We believe that everyone harbors a strength: ready to be discovered, developed, and utilized. You don't become Thor, you are Thor.
